Bulk-good coating
binder galvanic surfaces GmbH has a large selection of resources (more than 200 drums and Vibrosets). This means that we can cover a wide variety of component geometries in small and large series. Our production lines for drum and Vibroset coating are controlled and monitored from a central point. We are able to combine the processing capability of an automated line with the flexibility of manual production. This also allows us to be incredibly flexible in terms of batch sizes, volumes and short delivery times. The central system control ensures that our processes are continuous.
Quality checks and coating thickness measurements are continuously carried out and documented during the coating processes.
Why choose drum coating?
For precision parts, like turned and punched parts, drum coating is the most cost-effective option for bulk goods. With drum coating, binder galvanic surfaces GmbH has primarily specialized in the technical surface coating of high-quality and delicate precision parts in gold, silver, copper, various types of nickel and tin. Our system technology and electroplating drums have been specially designed for small, turned and punched parts.
The components are coated in the electrolytes under current in octagonal, rotating drums in a linear process consisting of several pre- and post-treatment steps. The coating quality of the components, narrow coating thickness tolerances and an even distribution of the coating thickness are of paramount importance when dealing with challenging geometries and parts that are at risk of bending.
Why choose Vibroset coating?
Vibroset coating is used for components with small diameters and corresponding lengths. It is also suitable for challenging geometries with exposed areas that may be excessively rounded off, deformed, bent or concealed behind each other in drum coating. Other advantages include a more even distribution of the coating across the component and improved electrolyte exchange.
Rack coating
Precision parts that are unsuitable for a loose bulk-good coating because they have a delicate shape or are too big are coated in our rack electroplating system. With rack coating, binder galvanic surfaces GmbH has specifically specialized in chemical nickeling.
Quality checks and coating thickness measurements are continuously carried out and documented during the coating processes.
Selective coating for bulk goods
Our selective machines developed in-house allow for a selective surface coating, in gold and/or tin, of small and large volumes of electrical contacts (turned parts) for the connector industry. Even though this reduces the amount of gold used, our process guarantees that the components will still have the same function as if they had had a standard full gold coating. Depending on the coating thickness specification, the precious-metal savings potential can be very high, with no adverse effect on quality or functionality. Our range of selective gold coatings on the connection side and selective tin coatings on the solder or crimp side of components helps improve the function of soldering or crimping applications, and saves gold costs.
Quality checks and coating thickness measurements are continuously carried out and documented during the coating processes.
Why choose selective coating for bulk goods?
With the development in this area, our focus was on the flexibility of the systems. Contact pins and contact sockets in a wide variety of dimensions can be coated. The potential precious-metal savings are enormous, and the components function exactly thesame as if they had had a full coating.
Owing to the increasing requirements of the market, fully automatic selective gold coating on the connector side and selective tin coating on the solder or crimp side have been implemented.
Thanks to our systems developed in-house, many sectors are already enjoying the benefits of our tailored solutions.
